Connect CRED to ChatGPT
Last updated: October 2026
CRED brings the companies, people and deals in your CRED workspace into ChatGPT. Ask questions in plain language, and ChatGPT answers from your own data.
Add CRED to ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Apps (Settings → Apps & Connectors) and search for CRED.
- Select CRED and choose Connect.
- Sign in with your CRED account when asked, and approve access.
There is no API key to copy and no configuration file to edit. You can also add CRED by URL as a custom app: turn on Developer mode under Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced, then create an app with this URL. Developer mode is only offered on some ChatGPT plans, and a workspace admin may need to allow it:

- Search — find companies and people with filters such as industry, headcount, funding and location.
- Company and contact detail — profiles, metrics, news, relationships and employee networks.
- Lists — create company or person lists, add and remove members, and read list contents.
- Custom fields — define fields, read and set their values, and enrich them from CRED’s data providers.
- Brand engagement — which brands a company’s employees engage with on LinkedIn, and collecting that engagement for a company.
- Views and pipeline — open your saved views and review pipeline value by stage.
- CRM — send a list, or individual accounts and contacts, to your connected Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics.
Enrichment and brand-engagement collection use your workspace’s existing CRED credits. Each has a free estimate alongside it, so the cost can be checked before anything is spent. Nothing can be bought from inside ChatGPT.
Your data stays yours
- Signing in uses OAuth 2.0. Your CRED password is never shared with ChatGPT.
- Every request runs as you and is scoped to your own CRED workspace. You see your data and nobody else’s.
- Every tool is labelled as reading, changing or removing data, so ChatGPT can ask you to confirm before it changes anything.
- You can withdraw access at any time by disconnecting CRED in ChatGPT.
Requirements
- A CRED account with access to a workspace.
- A ChatGPT plan with apps available. On a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin may need to allow CRED first.
If something does not work
- Sign-in does not finish — disconnect CRED in ChatGPT and connect it again.
- No results — your CRED account may not have access to a workspace yet. Your workspace admin can confirm.
- A search returns nothing — that usually means no data matched, not that something failed. Asking ChatGPT to widen the filters is the quickest check.
