Connect CRED to Claude

Last updated: October 2026

CRED brings the companies, people and deals in your CRED workspace into Claude. Ask questions in plain language, and Claude answers from your own data.

Add the connector

The connector URL is:

https://mcp.credplatform.com/servers/dead6584b96445209b1f1b444a8b642b/mcp

In Claude (web or desktop):

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the URL above and confirm.
  4. Sign in with your CRED account when Claude asks, and approve access.

That is the whole setup. There is no API key to copy and no configuration file to edit.

What you can do

The connector covers:

  • Search — find companies and people with typed filters: industry, size, location, funding, ICP fit.
  • Company and contact detail — profiles, metrics, ownership, technology used, web traffic, employee networks.
  • Lists — create lists, add and remove members, and read list contents.
  • Custom fields — read your workspace’s own fields and set values.
  • Brand engagement — which brands a company’s employees engage with, and what has been collected so far.
  • CRM — push an account list to your connected CRM.

Some tools cost credits — enrichment and brand-engagement collection. Each has a free estimate tool alongside it, so the cost can be checked before anything is spent, and each is annotated as a write so Claude can ask you to confirm first.

Your data stays yours

  • Signing in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Your password is never shared with Claude, and the connector never sees it.
  • Every request is scoped to your own CRED workspace. You see your data and nobody else’s.
  • Access can be withdrawn at any time by removing the connector in Claude, under Settings → Connectors.
  • Every tool carries a standard MCP annotation saying whether it only reads or can change something, so Claude can tell a question from an action and ask you to confirm before it writes.

Requirements

  • A CRED account with access to a workspace.
  • Any Claude plan. Free accounts can add one custom connector; Pro and Max have no such limit. On Team and Enterprise, custom connectors are added by an Owner, after which members connect to them individually.

If something does not work

  • “Authentication required” — the sign-in did not complete. Remove the connector and add it again.
  • No tools listed — your CRED account may not have access to a workspace yet. Your workspace admin can confirm.
  • A tool returns nothing — that usually means no data matched, not that the tool failed. Asking Claude to widen the filters is the quickest check.
